BioDiversity4All, our partner, since 2018 is the portuguese platform of the worldwide iNaturalist network - American project by National Geographic and the California Academy of Sciences, which received data for the entire world
Depending on the group's interest guided tours may focus on a particular taxonomic group (for example: birds, flora) or be more generalists, covering a wider range of taxonomic groups and the services of this ecosystem so important for our country
This database follows the concept of Web 2.0 and includes all citizens like scientists, school audiences, managers or tourists, being able to share their observations
Launched in the International Year of Biodiversity, 2010, it is founded on the belief that society will be more concerned with nature conservation if they get involved with science and know better the life surrounding us
Through this project, users have already identified new species for Portugal and found species in places where we were unaware of their presence.
